Dear Minister,<\/p>

Szanowna Pani Minister,<\/p>

We hereby offer help for the Ministry of National Education in building the prestige of the teaching profession in Poland.<\/p>

Appreciating the work of teachers and their prestige in our country are topics that arouse a lot of emotions and are the subject of social discussion. Here are some aspects related to this issue:<\/p>

  1. Teachers have a key impact on the development of subsequent generations and society as a whole. In the context of a changing world and growing challenges for young people, the role of teachers is becoming more and more important and difficult. In addition to being a source of knowledge for young people, they must become their \"psychologists\" and mentors.<\/li>
  2. Despite these difficulties, many teachers derive satisfaction from their work, especially when they see the progress and positive reactions of their pupils. However, high motivation and passion for teaching may not be enough in the face of systemic problems.<\/li>
  3. The work of teachers is not sufficiently appreciated. Although many parents and students notice the difficulties related to teaching and upbringing, there is a general tendency to underestimate this profession. Teachers are often seen as people with easy jobs, which does not reflect reality.<\/li>
  4. Low salaries, compared to other professions requiring a similar level of education and responsibility, also affect the prestige of the teaching profession. Although in recent years there have been attempts to increase their salaries, they are still inadequate to the effort put in.<\/li>
  5. In recent years, there have been many discussions in Poland about reforms in education. Increased interest in the quality of teaching and working conditions of teachers can contribute to improving their perception and recognition in society.<\/li><\/ol>

    Although teachers in Poland have the opportunity to have their work more appreciated, there are still many challenges related to their prestige and working conditions. Strengthening their role in society and providing better employment conditions could help to improve their status and recognition.<\/p>

    The Polish Education Union, in addition to the postulate of equalizing teachers' salaries with other professions, proposes the creation of prestigious Teachers' Clubs throughout the country, run by the teachers themselves and being virtual centers for the exchange of best educational practices and the greatest successes they have achieved in overcoming problems while practicing their wonderful profession.<\/p>

    Teachers' Clubs should be completely self-governing, created spontaneously by people who are willing, but supported by the Ministry of Education mainly with its prestige and moral support, and perhaps with small, symbolic material help.<\/p>

    Teachers' Clubs, like identical professional organizations in other countries, communicating their achievements to local communities, should in a relatively short time increase teachers' satisfaction with their profession, their willingness to further improve their work, the satisfaction of students and their parents, and consequently the well-being of the entire school community and the prestige of the school as an institution.\u00a0<\/p>

    The Polish Education Union offers the Ministry of Education its structures and total assistance in inaugurating, developing and building the prestige of Teachers' Clubs in our country. We are also ready to win the cooperation of the academic staff we represent for this project.<\/p>

    People active in the Polish Education Union perform their activities pro publico bono. Through the Centre of Didactic and Scientific Excellence PUE and with the help of its noble Council, together with schools and universities, they organise forums, conferences and congresses to improve teaching, and promote the best models and sources of knowledge.<\/p>

    We will be waiting with interest for an invitation from the Ministry to talk about the presented topic.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>
