Joint meeting of Management and Supervisory Board of PUE and second annual meeting of CDDiN Council on 7 February 2025
On 7 February 2025, a joint meeting Management and Supervisory Boards of Polish Union of Education combined with a solemn, annual meeting of Council of the Centre for Educational and Scientific Excellence of PUE were held. The subject of the meeting of the Boards were: 1. Information about the "Eduinspirations" conference, organized on January 25 2025 at Wojciech Korfanty University of Upper Silesia in partnership with PUE.
International Conference "Digital Universities Europe" in Wroclaw
Conference "Digital Universities Europe" On March 10-12, the international conference "Digital Universities Europe" will be held in Wrocław, organized by Times Higher Education in partnership with Polish Union of Education. The conference will be held on the campus of the WSB Merito University in Wrocław at 14G Fabryczna Street, on Tuesday and Wednesday (11 and 12 March).

Lead Researcher Competition
Dr. Roland Zarzycki, representing the Polish Union of Education in events related to projects in the European Federation of Education Employers in Brussels, won the competition for the lead researcher in the EEEF EducAItion project, focusing on preparations for the use of artificial intelligence in education.
PUE Management Board meeting
On June 28, 2024, a meeting of the Management Board of the Polish Union of Education was held. The Board decided to admit new member organizations to PUE: Collegium da Vinci in Poznań, No Bell Montessori Primary School in Konstancin-Jeziorna and the Space for Education Foundation in Warsaw. The Board discussed the preparations for the previously announced conferences and new conferences "Career without barriers – Disability and multidimensional education", organized by the University of Upper Silesia in Katowice and "Digital Universities in Europe", prepared at the WSB Merito University in Wrocław by Times Higher Education in partnership with the Polish Union of Education.
Workshop "Models of financing of non-public universities"
On 15 March 2024, a workshop on the financing of non-public universities was held at the headquarters of Collegium Civitas, organised by the Polish Rectors Foundation, the Conference of Rectors of Academic Non-Public Universities in consultation with the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland and the Polish Union of Education.
Conference "Innovations4Education" in Brussels
On 1 March 2024, the "Innovations4Education" conference, organised by the European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE) and the European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE), with the participation of the Polish Education Union, took place in Brussels. Anna Sobala-Zbroszczyk, representing PUE, gave a presentation on "Innovations targeted at improving community well-being"
Meeting of the Management Board and Supervisory Board of PUE and Inaugural Meeting of the CDDiN Council
On 2 February 2024 meeting of the PUE Management Board and Supervisory Board appointed Members of the Council of the Centre for Education and Scientific Excellence, which included : Professor Wiesław Banyś, Professor Krzysztof Diks, Professor Włodzisław Duch, Professor Tomasz Giaro, Professor Bogdan Góralczyk, Professor Hubert Izdebski, Professor Maria Kruk-Jarosz, Professor Jerzy Lis, Professor Stanisław Mocek, Professor Joanna Moczydłowska, Professor Adam Olejniczak, Professor Jacek Popiel, Professor Tomas Szapiro, Professor Gertruda Uścińska Professor Krzysztof Zaremba. On the same day under the chairmanship of Professor Zbigniew Marciniak, a ceremonial inaugural meeting of the Council of the Centre for Education and Scientific Excellence (CDDiN) of the Polish Educational Union was held.

Proposal submitted to Minister Izabela Leszczyna
On 5 January 2024, the Polish Educational Union together with the Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs submitted a proposal to the Minister of Health, Izabela Leszczyna, to create a Commission that will prepare a project for a comprehensive repair of the Polish healthcare system, based on a thorough analysis of its functioning.

Here are the extremely interesting and very timely speeches from the Merito Group Methodology Forum 'Methodology(logist) of the Future. Changes in Higher Education" which was held on 16 and 17 November 2023. Conference "Career without barriers. Disabled people on the labour market - opportunities and challenges".
On November 27 and 28, 2023, the Wojciech Korfanty Upper Silesian University in Katowice hosted the conference "Career without barriers. Disabled people on the labour market - opportunities and challenges", organised by AG together with the Centre for Education and Scientific Excellence of the Polish Union of Education.
Merito Group Methodology Forum 2023
On November 17, the two-day Merito Group Methodological Forum dedicated to the higher education industry ended. This year's edition was held in the building of the WSB Merito University in Wrocław under the name "Methodology(logist) of the Future. Changes in higher education” and was organized in cooperation with the Polish Union of Education. On the first day, there were intense online discussions with the participation of experts, including: from the University of Warsaw, Nicolaus Copernicus University, Collegium Civitas, Edukatorium and San Francisco State University. The main topic was adapting education to the rapid development of artificial intelligence. They also discussed how to effectively use modern tools in academic teaching, supporting students in acquiring knowledge and skills. The event was attended by 300 person representing 40 Universities.
PUE Management Board meeting
On November 13, 2023, a meeting of the Management Board of the Polish Union of Education was held. The Management Board discussed, among other things, the intention of a joint initiative of PUE and the Conference of Academic Rectors of Non-Public Universities regarding the financing of non-public universities and the concept of a three-day international conference "The Future of Higher Education II", organized jointly with the Conference of Rectors of Academic Polish Schools and the National Agency for Academic Cooperation.
Decision of the Management Board
Basing on the Management Board's decision of January 20, 2023 to establish the Council of the Center of Education and Scientific Excellence of the Polish Union of Education, the Management Board appointed Professor Dr. Hab. Zbigniew Marciniak as the Chairman of this Council. The activities of the Chairman of the Council of the PUE Center for Education and Scientific Excellence are performed pro bono, just like the work of members of all bodies of the Polish Union of Education.
PUE Management Board meeting
On March 3, 2023 a meeting of the Management Board of the Polish Union of Education was held. The Management Board decided to admit the Humanitas University in Sosnowiec to PUE, discussed the "Continuity of Education" Conference organized with and under the patronage of CDDiN PUE by the University of Warsaw, SWPS University, KFON and STO, as well as the accompanying program of study visits of school principals and vice-deans and vice-rectors for teaching at universities. In addition, the Management Board discussed a project submitted to the Fulbright Foundation regarding seminars in seven of the most important national academic centers on the latest educational tools in the USA and around the world.
Attractiveness of the Teaching Profession conference
On January 30 and 31, 2023, the "Attractiveness of the Teaching Profession" conference was held in Warsaw, organized by the European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE) and the European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE) with the participation of the Polish Union of Education.

General Meeting of the European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE)
On December 13, 2022, the General Meeting of the European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE), of which the Polish Union of Education is a member, was held in Brussels. During the General Meeting, organizations belonging to EFEE elected its new Executive Committee, which was again joined by the President of the Management Board of the Polish Union of Education.
Meeting of the Management Board and Supervisory Board of PUE
On November 25, 2022, a meeting of the Management Board and Supervisory Board of PUE was held. The subject of the meeting was to discuss the conferences organized by the Polish Union of Education and the PUE Center for Education and Scientific Excellence in 2022, plans for PUE and CDDIN scientific events for 2023, complementing the management of the Center for Education and Scientific Excellence, preliminary presentation of new potential PUE member organizations and discussion of preparations for PUE General Meeting, scheduled for January 20, 2023.
Seminar "European Social Partners in Education Promoting Environmental Sustainability in School Learning, Teaching and Management"
On October 19 and 20, the seminar "European Social Partners in Education Promoting Environmental Sustainability in School Learning, Teaching and Management" was held in Warsaw, organized by the European EFEE and ETUCE federations, Polish Union of Education, 2nd Social Secondary School in Warsaw and the National Education Section of NSZZ Solidarność.
Conference "The Future of Higher Education in Krakow"
On September 15 and 16, under the patronage of the Chairman of KRASP, the Conference "The Future of Higher Education" was held in Krakow, organized by the Center for Education and Scientific Excellence of the Polish Union of Education and the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow Academy. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PUE is a member of the Main Council of the Confederation
On June 9, the General Assembly of the Lewiatan Confederation elected Professor Jerzy Malec, vice-rector of the Krakow Academy. Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Polish Union of Education, for a three-year term of office to the new Main Council of the Confederation.

Letter to Minister P. Czarnek regarding equalization of the rules for financing public and private universities
PUE welcomes the news that, on the initiative of the Minister of Education and Science, work was undertaken to equalize the principles of financing public and private universities. PUE declares assistance in preparing the rules for financing non-public universities. Letter in pdf
Expressing solidarity with Ukraine
Polish Union of Education expressed its solidarity with fighting Ukraine. For several weeks PUE member organizations have been organizing material assistance for residents of many towns in Ukraine, accepting students and pupils from Ukraine and supporting them in various possible ways (they organized psychological, linguistic, social assistance for them and assistance related to handling official and other matters).
Appointment of the Deputy Directors of CDDiN
On January 13, the Management Board of the Polish Union of Education decided to appoint Dr. Hab. Małgorzata Baran and Dr. Anita Zarzycka as Deputy Directors of the Center for Education and Scientific Excellence (CDDiN) of PUE.

Meeting of the Management Board and Supervisory Board of PUE
On December 7, a meeting of the Management Board of the Polish Union of Education was held, with the participation of members of the Supervisory Board. The Management Board adopted resolutions on the establishment of the PUE Center of Education and Scientific Excellence (CDDiN) and on the appointment of Professor Zbigniew Marciniak as the Center's Director as of January 1, 2022.
Methodological Forum – Finnish lesson
On September 13 and 14, the Methodological Forum for Secondary Schools - Finnish Lesson was held, organized under the patronage of the Polish Union of Education by the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza. The forum was devoted to changes taking place in secondary education. The speakers and participants of the Forum were outstanding educators from Poland and Finland.
Methodological Forum 2021
On May 26 and 27, 2021, the Methodological Forum 2021 was held, organized under the patronage of the Polish Union of Education by TEB Academy in Poznań. The forum was devoted to academic distance education during the pandemic. The speakers and participants of the Forum were representatives of public and private universities, education-related organizations and the European Federation of EFEE.
Meeting of the Management Board and Supervisory Board of PUE
On April 9, 2021, a meeting of the Management Board and Supervisory Board of PUE was held. The subject of the meeting was to discuss preparations for the Methodological Forum 2021, announce the creation of the Center of Education and Scientific Excellence during the Forum, and select PUE candidates for the General Council of Science and Higher Education.
PUE General Meeting
This year, the Polish Union of Education celebrates its twentieth anniversary. On November 27, 2020, the anniversary General Meeting of PUE was held, during which invited guests talked about its achievements and expressed their wishes for its further development. The General Meeting elected the PUE Supervisory Board for the next term of office in the persons of Jerzy Malec (Chairman) and Witold Bielecki, Grzegorz Cygonik, Zdzisława Dacko-Pikiewicz and Anna Sobala-Zbroszczyk (Members). The PUE Management Board was also appointed for the next two years, consisting of Mieczysław Błoński (President) and Roman Cieślak, Maciej Kolasiński, Jadwiga Koralewicz and Krystyna Starczewska (Vice-Presidents). The Management Board expressed its gratitude for the congratulations that were given and received by Polish Union of Education.

On October 19 this year the general meeting of the European Federation of Education Employers EFEE, composed of representatives of fifty organizations from twenty-three countries, elected the President of the Management Board of PUE, Dr. Mieczysław Błoński, to the Executive Committee of this Federation.
