Gdynia Author's High School of the Social Educational Society School of Sports Championship is a school with 28 years of experience. For 11 years, the school has had sports departments in which young people from the following clubs learn: Sportowa Spółka Akcyjna Arka Gdynia – football players, Sztorm Gdynia – female footballers, Asseco Gdynia – basketball players. Since September 2016, the women's football teams have gained the status of sports championship units, and in September 2017 this status was granted to the football players of Arka Gdynia. The primary task of the school is the comprehensive development of students and enabling young people with sports talents to achieve the best possible educational results while practicing sports professionally – often in senior teams. The achieved effects both in science and in sport are possible thanks to the ongoing cooperation between the school and sports clubs. An action that goes beyond the standard framework is the development and continuation of the project, i.e. the Women's Football Academy, which has received the patronage of the Polish Football Association, as well as funding from the European Football Federation (UEFA).
