STO is a nationwide non-governmental organization with about 4000 members. The aim of STO is to support initiatives that affect the quality of the education system and to provide alternative forms of education and upbringing of children and young people. STO runs 100 schools and institutions throughout Poland, with about 15,000 students, and its own teacher training centre, where the management and teaching staff are constantly developing their competences.
